BOULDER ART
PICNIC TABLE
Solid stone slab table tops add an element of functionality while maintaining a “sprung from nature” appeal. Either sawn or natural edge, tops are strategically set on solid stone "legs". The benches are solid stone pieces. The unique seating areas can be created using granite, bluestone or sandstone, creating elegance designed to last.
INUKSUK
After visiting the Arctic, a creative client commissioned Moody's to build an Inuksuk for her husband. Wesley must admit that after saying "Sure we can do that", he had to look up "Inuksuk".
"An Inukshuk or Inuksuk is a manmade stone landmark or cairn built for use by the Inuit, Iñupiat, Kalaallit, Yupik, and other peoples of the Arctic region of North America. These structures are found in northern Canada, Greenland, and Alaska. The Inuksuk may historically have been used for navigation, as a point of reference, a marker for travel routes. Historically, the most common types of inukshuk are built with stone placed upon stone. "
Inspired by the client’s design, Moody's team created this Inuksuk using a combination of fieldstone and granite.
THE SWORD IN THE STONE
Patrick jumped on the opportunity to replicate King Arthur’s fabled “Sword in the Stone” for another creative client. Hollowing out the bottom of a natural mossy boulder, he was able to hide a locking mechanism so only The Chosen would be able to remove the sword . This piece of boulder art is a lot of fun for the client’s guests.
